Responsibilities This position will support the Y-12 Division Managed Design Engineering Field Design Support group. Drafting in Bentley MicroStation: One-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, lighting/power plans, installation details, Instrumentation and Controls Diagrams, conduit/cable schedules, fire alarm and communication drawings Preparing data sheets, specifications, and walkdown reports Work in concert with electrical engineers and other CAD drafters from the same work group Must be able to support construction and operational activities related to design outputs. Field walkdowns will be required sometimes in radiologically contaminated areas. Little to no ( Typical work schedule will be Mon.-Thur. 10-hour days (4/10 schedule) Qualifications Associates or higher degree in a technical field and 6-10 years of related experience or high school diploma and 13-19 years of relevant experience. Requires advanced knowledge and understanding in area of expertise and associated equipment, processes, or systems. DOE Q Clearance Preferred Experience with low and medium voltage power distribution and industrial control systems Experience with NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and UL508A Special Requirements Pre-employment Drug Screen - External applicants selected for this position are required to successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug test. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance from the Department of Energy.
