Production Planner

ZimZee Recruiting is looking for a Production Planner position located in Wichita, KS. The Planner will develop, coordinate, and optimize production schedules that ensure efficient manufacturing operations, on-time customer deliveries, and appropriate inventory levels. This role is responsible for balancing production capacity, material availability, and customer demand while working cross-functionally with Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, and Sales. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented planner with strong analytical skills, experience in manufacturing environments, and the ability to proactively identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities. Skills and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field Minimum 5 years of manufacturing planning, production scheduling, or supply chain planning experience Strong experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems Proven ability to develop and manage production schedules in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of inventory management, capacity planning, and demand forecasting principles Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to changing production requirements Key Responsibilities Develop, analyze, and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, sales forecasts, inventory targets, and production capacity Review customer orders and sales requirements to determine production feasibility and ensure on-time delivery commitments Create and manage production orders within the ERP/MRP system to support customer and inventory requirements Coordinate with Purchasing, Operations, Engineering, and Sales to ensure material availability and efficient production flow Monitor inventory levels and production performance, making schedule adjustments to address shortages, bottlenecks, and changing priorities #J-18808-Ljbffr
