Senior Medical Director, Clinical Development - Immunology

We are looking to connect with experienced Clinical Development physicians interested in a Senior Medical Director opportunity within an emerging biotechnology company.

The Senior Medical Director will provide medical and scientific leadership across early-stage clinical programs in immunology and autoimmune disease. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional colleagues, this individual will help shape clinical strategy and oversee the successful design and delivery of clinical studies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership across early-stage clinical development programs
\n
• Contribute to clinical development plans, study protocols and regulatory documents
\n
• Oversee medical monitoring and the ongoing review of safety and efficacy data
\n
• Support clinical study design, dose selection and development decisions
\n
• Work closely with clinical operations, regulatory, biometrics, pharmacovigilance and translational teams
\n
• Build relationships with investigators, key opinion leaders and external scientific advisors
\n
• Support regulatory interactions and clinical submission activities
\n
• Provide scientific and medical input into future development opportunities
\n

Ideal background

\n
• MD with relevant clinical training
\n
• Clinical development experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
\n
• Strong expertise in immunology, autoimmune or inflammatory diseases
\n
• Experience providing medical leadership for early-stage clinical trials
\n
• Understanding of biologic or antibody-based drug development
\n
• Strong knowledge of clinical trial design, safety monitoring and regulatory requirements
\n
• Comfortable working in an agile biotechnology environment with broad responsibilities
\n
• Strong scientific communication and cross-functional leadership skills
\n

Experience in areas such as rheumatology, nephrology, dermatology, gastroenterology or other immune-mediated diseases would be particularly relevant.
