Medical Lab Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

This position offers a variable schedule of 5x8-hour evening and night shifts.

We are seeking a skilled Medical Lab Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures and assist in patient care by providing accurate and timely results to support medical decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct laboratory tests in areas such as Blood Bank, CMP, CPC, COVID, and FLU testing.
• Perform specimen collection, preparation, and processing.
• Utilize the Epic charting system for documentation and results reporting.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and follow safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a laboratory setting.
• ASCP MLT or MLS certification is required.
• BLS certification is preferred.
• Experience with essential laboratory procedures including blood banking and urinalysis.
• Eligible candidates must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility.
