Role Description The Installation Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Winston-Salem, NC. The technician is responsible for delivering, installing, and setting up a variety of household appliances in customer homes and businesses, ensuring all units are properly connected, leveled, and tested for safe operation. Day-to-day tasks include routing and securing cabling and hoses, verifying electrical and water connections, troubleshooting basic installation issues, and documenting work performed. The role also involves interacting directly with customers, explaining appliance functions, answering questions, and supporting a positive service experience that aligns with Wagner Appliance Sales’ standards. The technician is expected to follow safety guidelines, maintain equipment and vehicles, and coordinate with the service and sales teams as needed. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong technical and problem-solving skills, including Troubleshooting and basic mechanical aptitude. Candidates should possess effective interpersonal skills, including Communication, Customer Service, and a focus on Customer Satisfaction. Candidates should possess practical installation capabilities, including experience with Cabling, connecting hoses and cords, and using hand and power tools safely. Ability to lift and maneuver heavy appliances safely, follow written and verbal instructions, and adhere to safety and quality standards. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliability in on-site customer visits. Previous experience in appliance installation, electrical, plumbing, or a related trade is preferred but not required.
