Shipping & Receiving Coordinator – Warehouse

Position Overview:

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Inbound/Outbound inventory management, scheduling, routing, communication, data entry, Paper trail and customer compliance. Coordinates closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timely order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Receives and processes POs from customers manually or via EDI.

· Inputs and Reviews data into Warehouse Management System for inventory levels and accuracy. Handles issues of Inventory On Hand/ packing slips discrepancies.

· Schedules shipments via customer portals and within our Dock scheduling software.

· Coordinate with the warehouse supervisor on shipping & receiving day-to-day executions.

· Prepare all necessary paperwork and electronic bill of lading at high accuracy. Assure orders and shipping quantities match picking documents through careful audit of said documents, while assisting in resolving discrepancies.

· Approves final Go-No-Go of freight release.

· Filing tickets for necessary compliances of “ON TIME/IN FULL” (OTIF) standards.

· Maintains all data and records related to shipping activities such as reports/logs/paper trail.

· Communicate any transit issues to respective parties and provide solutions.

Work Environment

· Consistent email and face-to-face communication with drivers and dispatchers.

· WMS/TMS data entry.

· Communicating and structuring workload plans for management and warehouse employees.

· Hybrid warehouse and office setting with exposure to consistent warehouse forklift, pedestrian, and tractor trailer traffic.

· Following standard ISO and OSHA requirements.

· Exposure to heat and cold from warehouse/manufacturing settings.

· Requires regular walking, standing, and lifting (up to 30 lbs).

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED required; and/or 2+ years in relevant field.

· Possesses knowledge of shipping/receiving processes, warehouse operations, and trucking within the transportation industries.

· Possesses proficient typing skills, communication, reading, and writing.

· Experience with warehouse software systems (WMS/TMS).

· Daily in-person attendance is required for this position.
