Portfolio Strategy Analyst

This is an on-site position located in Durham, NC. The Portfolio Strategy Analyst will support the strategic growth of the Cell Line Development, Analytical, and Process Development (CAPS) business, focusing on initiatives such as improving development platforms, analyzing innovation trends, guiding R&D projects, assessing competitor strategies, and increasing KBI’s public footprint. The role emphasizes compiling and tracking critical information for decision makers, managing tasks within and across CAPS, and maintaining meeting documentation to ensure timely completion of action items. Responsibilities Compile and track the current state of CAPS service offerings, compare against the 3‑year service plan, and compile key performance indicators across CAPS functions as directed by management. (20%) Track execution of tasks with CAPS internal partners (e.g., alliance strategy, business development, marketing) to ensure the CAPS innovation growth strategy aligns with KBI goals. Provide task management support to CAPS leadership to complete all tasks on time and in full. (20%) Contribute to key scientific communication documents supporting CAPS leadership and marketing. (20%) Track and maintain critical documentation for business verticals as determined by management. (15%) Organize meetings, maintain accurate minutes, and track resulting action items until completion. (10%) React to change productively and handle other assignments as needed. (10%) Track innovation ideation across the CAPS network. (5%) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in science, science communication, or related discipline. Strong scientific communication skills, including rapid understanding of novel technical concepts, synthesizing large amounts of technical information, producing content for diverse audiences, and self‑directed knowledge supplementation. Exceptional task, data, and documentation organization skills. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices, SOP‑driven environments, competitor communication strategies, and the drug development process at KBI and its competitors. Ability to influence key stakeholders without direct authority, including department, commercial, and research leaders. Salary and Benefits Salary range: $55,000‑$83,000 annually.
