Pay Range: $18 - $22 /hr

A day in your craft

Your morning might start by reviewing a pattern and fabric specs, then measuring, cutting, and sewing to match the design. Midday finds you fitting and upholstering a frame, refining seams and corners until the finish looks impeccable. In the afternoon, you could be restoring an existing piece—repairing upholstery while honoring the original design—and coordinating with teammates to keep production moving and on standard. Throughout the day, you’ll maintain an orderly, safe workspace and keep your supervisor updated on progress or challenges.

What you’ll do

• Upholster a variety of furniture pieces with high-quality finishes and meticulous attention to detail.
• Measure, cut, and sew fabrics to meet precise specifications and design requirements.
• Repair and restore existing upholstery while preserving the integrity of the original design.
• Collaborate with teammates to meet production timelines and uphold quality standards.
• Keep your work area clean and organized while following safety protocols.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues about project status and obstacles.

What you bring

• Proven background in furniture upholstery and sewing.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, materials, and upholstery methods.
• Ability to read and interpret patterns and detailed design specifications.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to top-tier workmanship.
• Strong time management; comfortable working independently or within a team.
• Basic familiarity with sewing machines and common upholstery tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional upholstery training or certification is a plus.
