Embedded Engineer

An innovative technology company is looking for a Hardware Engineer to lead the development of industrial sensing systems designed to operate reliably in harsh-environments.

You will take technical ownership of the hardware development lifecycle, from schematic capture and PCB design through to sensor integration, prototyping, assembly, testing and deployment.

Duties

• Design and develop electronic hardware, including PCB layouts and schematic capture
• Integrate sensors such as accelerometers, IMUs and thermal imaging cameras
• Develop and integrate embedded hardware using microcontrollers such as ESP32
• Carry out prototyping, assembly, wiring, soldering, debugging and bench testing
• Design and integrate power regulation, connectors, cabling and electronic enclosures
• Validate hardware performance and reliability for harsh-environments
• Support hardware deployment and iterative improvements from initial concept through to production

Required Experience

• Practical experience in electronics hardware development and schematic capture (PCB design experience preferred)
• Experience integrating sensors and embedded systems
• Familiarity with microcontrollers, electronics prototyping and hardware debugging
• Proficiency in assembly, soldering, wiring and electronic test equipment
• Understanding of power management, electrical connectivity and enclosure integration
