Collections Specialist

Position: Collections Specialist

Wage : $18.00 per hour +

Shift: Part-Time; Flexible Hours

Collections Specialist Responsibilities:

• The Collections Specialist is responsible for collecting past due accounts, maintaining account information in various platforms, along with daily interaction with customers answering questions on their account.
• Run and manipulate monthly AR Aging Report.
• Working off of AR Aging sorted by age and balance, determine if accounts need to be placed on credit hold (based on age, previous payments, etc). Communicate account status to the customer via telephone or email in an attempt to collect.
• Reach out to customers with balances over 31days old to determine payment status, beginning with >120 day old balances.
• Obtain current AP and/or Parts emails
• Provide customers with any requested invoices/statements.
• Provide customers with pertinent banking information, credit card payment forms, mailing addresses and Direct Biller payment portal links
• Process and post credit card payments made outside of Direct Biller.
• Fulfill Customer Service and Sales requests, providing invoices and/or statements to customers looking to place orders.
• Review Weekly Credit Limit Increase Report to determine if any accounts should be increased.
• Work with the Cash App Specialist obtaining remittances and discussing any customer requests for applying payments, credits and overpayments.

Collections Specialist Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong accuracy, neatness and organizational skills needed.
• Prior experience in collection a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• General knowledge of basic office equipment
• Ability to work independently
