Consulting Manager West Monroe is hiring for a Consulting Manager to help grow our Consumer and Industrial Products team aligned to our M&A Value Creation Practice. Responsibilities Providing data‑driven insights for retail, consumer, and industrial businesses to identify value creation opportunities and risk mitigation solutions. Managing and executing projects with internal and external teams to deliver on identified value opportunities. Managing client engagements, building relationships with C-suite executives, and leading teams to deliver high‑quality, compelling solutions that create significant shareholder value. Leveraging leading‑edge analytics software to create innovative client solutions. Managing and mentoring talented teams of consultants and technologists supporting client engagements that reimagine, build, and transform business operations. Building and maintaining executive‑level client relationships while overseeing the work of internal project teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in statistics or analytics‑related fields (Economics, Finance, Applied Math & Statistics, Data Science, Engineering); MBA or equivalent experience preferred. 2+ years of leading or managing data‑driven consulting engagements from strategy to execution, including understanding financial statements, business cycles, and financial modeling. 2+ years of managing multidisciplinary teams of consultants or 6+ years in an operational/commercial leadership role in a related industry. Hypothesis‑driven data analysis and ability to generate insights that inform decisions. Experience developing and leveraging business frameworks to synthesize recommendations and drive client alignment. Coach junior resources on engagement delivery, data insight generation, hypothesis‑driven approach, and presentation best practices. Critical thinking skills to develop novel frameworks for unstructured problems. Strong understanding of key financial statements and overall business acumen. High proficiency in Excel; moderate experience in analytical tools and coding languages such as Alteryx, SQL, R, or Python. Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; knowledge of project planning and delivery methodologies. Ability to work with clients at all organizational levels, from analyst to boardroom. Emerging business development acumen with experience in proposal development through close. Industry Knowledge Functional knowledge of retail, consumer, and/or industrial value chain, especially in Specialty Retail, Grocery, Consumer Packaged Goods, Chemicals, Specialty Materials, Durable Goods, Food & Beverage, Automotive/Transportation, Industrial Products and Equipment. Experience with mid‑market retail, consumer, or industrial businesses ($500M‑$5B revenue). Knowledge of operations such as planning, forecasting, procurement, sales and operations planning, engineering, production scheduling, maintenance, quality control, inventory management, supply chain, warehouse and distribution. Experience in at least three operational or performance transformation programs for manufacturing or retail clients. Salary and Benefits Salary ranges by location: Seattle or Washington, D.C. $171,300‑$201,500 USD; Los Angeles $179,400‑$211,100 USD; New York City or San Francisco $187,600‑$220,700 USD; Other location $163,100‑$191,900 USD.
