Role Description The Benefits Advisor is a full‑time, hybrid role based in Grand Junction, CO, with some flexibility to work from home. This role focuses on educating employers and employees about Aflac’s supplemental insurance offerings and helping them select plans that meet their needs. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include prospecting and meeting with business owners, conducting benefits presentations, and providing ongoing support to clients and policyholders. The Benefits Advisor will manage enrollment activities, respond to customer inquiries, and assist with claims‑related questions to ensure a positive experience. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, collaborating with the local Aflac team, and participating in training and professional development to stay current on products and regulations. Qualifications Knowledge of employee benefits and insurance products, with the ability to explain plan options clearly and accurately. Strong customer service skills, including active listening, empathy, and timely follow‑up with employers and policyholders. Sales abilities, including prospecting, relationship building, and closing, with a focus on consultative, solutions‑oriented selling. Experience providing training or presentations to individuals or groups, such as benefits enrollments or product overviews. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively, and travel locally within Grand Junction, CO as needed. Basic proficiency with digital tools and CRM or enrollment platforms; comfort with virtual meetings and online presentations. High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in insurance, benefits advising, or business‑to‑business sales is preferred.
