Lead a small team producing aerospace/aviation components in Sumner, WA—balancing people leadership with hands-on programming (basic Mastercam), setups, and production oversight across two shifts.

How you’ll make an impact

• Lead and schedule a 1–3 person production team working across two shifts.
• Set up and run 2-axis and multi-axis CNC lathes with sub-spindles for repeatable, high-quality output.
• Program and edit fundamentals in Mastercam for CNC lathe operations; keep setup sheets current.
• Plan fixturing and tooling strategies tailored to each work order.
• Safeguard uptime: monitor machines, resolve issues, and maintain part conformity.
• Own in-process inspections using precision measurement tools; mentor teammates and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner closely with Programming, Tooling, the Production Scheduler, and the General Manager to hit deadlines.
• Ensure labor tickets, time cards, and work order paperwork are accurate and complete.
• Model safety-first behavior: PPE compliance and a spotless, organized workspace.

What you’ll need to succeed

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years as a lead in a machine shop.
• 5+ years of CNC lathe machining; familiarity with mills is a bonus.
• Detail-obsessed, analytical, and clear English communicator (written and verbal).
• Team-oriented leader with reliable attendance and strong time management.
• Comfortable standing for long periods in a manufacturing environment.
