The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial functions of the business while helping ensure accurate reporting, efficient processes, and sound financial controls. Responsibilities As an Accountant, you will: Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management. Prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and maintain accurate financial records. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Process payroll and support payroll reconciliations while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. Support manufacturing cost accounting activities, including inventory analysis and cost tracking. Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash activity to ensure accurate reporting. Assist with financial statement preparation, account analysis, and management reporting. Maintain strong internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies. Support tax reporting, audits, and other compliance-related activities as needed. Partner with leadership on special projects and provide financial insights to support business decisions. Qualifications An Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or inventory-driven environment. Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Working knowledge of cost accounting principles and manufacturing operations is highly preferred. Experience processing payroll and familiarity with payroll systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience using accounting software. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting best practices. Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. The ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
