Paramedic

Overview We are seeking a Paramedic, sometimes referred to as an Emergency Care Technician (ECT), Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) or Emergency Room Technician (ER Tech). The Paramedic will assist with tasks such as starting IVs, performing EKGs, monitoring vital signs, and supporting airway management. They will play a key role in trauma care, CPR, and patient transport, working closely with nurses and physicians during emergencies while following hospital protocols and supervision. Shift & Employment Shift: Nights Employment Type: Full Time Hours: 12‑hour shifts – 7:00 pm to 7:00 am Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mesquite, TX Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance options Paid vacation, sick time and holidays Bereavement leave, FMLA and other leave options Employer 401K options Tuition reimbursement options Life, disability, and other insurance options Many other amazing benefits Responsibilities Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, EKG acquisition, and continuous vital signs monitoring under supervision Assist with airway management, oxygen therapy, suctioning, and support during advanced airway procedures and resuscitation efforts Provide wound care, apply splints, assist with suturing, and respond as part of the team during medical emergencies Support patient flow by transporting patients to diagnostic areas or inpatient units and assisting with room turnover and preparation Maintain clinical readiness by stocking essential supplies and performing point‑of‑care testing as permitted by hospital policy Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and EMS personnel to support trauma care, high‑acuity patient management, and assist with clinical procedures and transitions of care Qualifications Current and valid paramedic license issued by the state of Texas High School Diploma or equivalent, or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014 Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) within 6 months of hire and maintain current Facility Specific Requirements ACLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current PALS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current Equal Employment Opportunity Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
