Description
American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnography Tech for a sleep medicine unit requiring 2+ years of experience and RPSGT certification.
Details
- Sleep Lab setting serving medical patient population
- 1:1 patient ratio
- 4x9 day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Weekend hours and call as needed
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in polysomnography
- BLS and RPSGT certification required
- License required if applicable
- Experience with EMR charting systems
Additional Information
- Perform sleep recordings according to departmental policy including patient history documentation, electrode application using the international 10-20 system, and artifact recognition
- Monitor and correct equipment malfunctions to ensure optimal test results
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding testing expectations and requirements
- Complete and forward study data to appropriate personnel at the end of each study
- Black scrubs required
- Up to 5 days of RTO allowed but must be made up during the assignment
- Accepts local candidates
