Step into a vital role supporting K-12 students across multiple campuses, serving as a key member of the multidisciplinary team. This part-time contract position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact by providing comprehensive psychoeducational services within a dynamic school environment. You’ll work up to 29 hours per week, primarily onsite, with the potential for some hybrid flexibility. The assignment runs from late July through May, aligning with the academic year and offering the chance to participate in initial professional development days before school starts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer psychoeducational assessments and interpret data to identify student needs, following required timelines.
- Prepare detailed written evaluation reports and present findings clearly to school teams, staff, and families.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to develop and recommend educational and behavioral interventions.
- Engage directly with students and families, offering counseling and referrals to community resources.
- Help facilitate special education eligibility meetings and provide expertise on IDEA compliance.
- Maintain thorough and confidential case records and documentation for accountability.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and interpret assessment processes to school personnel and parents.
Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana DOE certification in School Psychology.
- Experience with psychoeducational evaluations and understanding of special education eligibility.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual ability is a plus.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary settings.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Willingness and ability to complete all district credentialing and background check requirements promptly.
