Job Description

Psychological Examiner Position

• Either licensed as a Psychological Examiner by the Arkansas State Board of Examiners in accordance with Ark. Code Ann. § 17-97-302. OR

• Licensed as an LPC -Must be licensed as a Professional Counselor by the Board of Examiners in Counseling in accordance with ACA 17-27-301

Minimum Requirements

• The Psychological Examiner or LPC candidate must have at least one (1) year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities

The Candidate must provide the following psychological services and related services for clients ages six (6) through eighty-five (85) with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring psychiatric conditions as referred by the CHDC. Contractor must work closely with CHDC behavioral health staff to ensure that he/she has all relevant information used by the Behavioral Health

Department for decision making. Services will include, at minimum, the following:

Scope of Work

• The Psychological Examiner works under the direct clinical supervision of the contracted CHDC Psychologist and is responsible for administering and interpreting psychological tests, evaluating results, developing treatment plans, and evaluating client progress. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

• Interview clients, prepare report indicating medical problems, educational levels, special needs, residential plans, and further assessment needs.

• Administer, score, interpret, and evaluate psychological tests and determine individualized behavioral management/treatment program.

• Provide psychological counseling as needed.

• Monitor, document, and modify progress reports on each client as needed.

• Attend staff/professional meetings and workshops as scheduled

• Upon request, conduct in-service training as needed.

• Upon request, supervise professional staff by interviewing, recommending for hire, assigning and reviewing work, training, and evaluating performance

• Visit each client weekly and provide monthly summary. Provide monthly summary of all visits.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by Psychologist and adhere to the chain of supervision

• Conduct assessments as referred by CHDC.
