Lead Manufacturing Engineer

Lead Manufacturing Engineer at GE HealthCare's State College facility will oversee manufacturing operations, support product transfers from other sites, and drive process optimization. The role combines technical leadership with cross-functional project management to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

Responsibilities

• Control production processes, tooling, and equipment to maintain validated state and meet safety, quality, delivery, cost objectives
• Identify manufacturing issues, determine root causes, and implement sustainable solutions for improved product quality
• Monitor productivity and process performance using data analysis to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Lead cross-functional manufacturing projects from concept through implementation with operational and quality alignment
• Create and maintain clear manufacturing documentation including change-control records and mentor peers on technical matters

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field with 5+ years manufacturing experience
• OR high school diploma/GED with 10+ years relevant manufacturing experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present technical information
• Demonstrated data interpretation, structured problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making ability
• Project planning, documentation, and execution skills with established project-management experience
• Legal authorization to work in U.S.; ability to travel domestically and internationally with valid passport
