This includes personal care, mobility, meals, hydration, activities, positioning, comfort, and other routine services provided within the CNA's authorized scope of practice.The CNA helps residents maintain as much independence as possible while ensuring their safety, dignity, privacy, and individual preferences are respected.Responsibilities:Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, oral care, and other personal hygiene needsHelp residents with meals, feeding, snacks, supplements, and hydration as directed by the resident's care planAssist residents with walking, transferring, turning, repositioning, and range-of-motion activitiesSafely use wheelchairs, mechanical lifts, and other approved equipment according to resident needs and facility proceduresAssist residents in preparing for and traveling to appointments, activities, meals, and social programsRespond promptly and respectfully to resident call lights and requests for assistanceObserve residents and promptly report changes in condition, behavior, skin integrity, appetite, mobility, or level of functioning to the licensed nurseMeasure and record vital signs, intake and output, weights, and other information as assignedDocument the care provided and the resident's response accurately and within required timeframesFollow resident care plans, infection prevention practices, and safety proceduresMaintain clean and comfortable resident rooms and personal areas within the scope of assigned dutiesProtect resident rights, privacy, dignity, and confidentialityCommunicate respectfully with residents, families, coworkers, and members of the interdisciplinary care teamQualifications:Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the State of MissouriAbility to communicate clearly and respectfullyDependable attendance and a strong work ethicAbility to work collaboratively as part of the nursing teamFlexibility when resident needs or priorities changeProfessional and compassionate demeanorAbility to safely perform the physical responsibilities of the position, with or without reasonable accommodationCommitment to treating every resident with compassion, dignity, and respectAbout Avalon View:Avalon View Health and Wellness is a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, and memory care community located in Liberty, Missouri.
