Quality Control Manager - Federal Construction

- Manage and administer the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Program in accordance with USACE requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific quality control plans and procedures.
- Conduct and document preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections on all definable features of work.
- Coordinate with project management, superintendents, subcontractors, and government representatives to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and construction documentation for quality assurance and compliance.
- Monitor field activities to verify workmanship, materials, and construction practices meet required standards.
- Maintain accurate quality control records, reports, inspection logs, testing documentation, and deficiency tracking systems.
- Manage third-party inspections, testing agencies, and commissioning activities.
- Identify, document, and resolve quality issues and non-conformances in a timely manner.
- Participate in project meetings with owners, government agencies, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Support project safety initiatives and ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 standards and project-specific safety requirements.
- Assist with project closeout activities, punch list management, and final acceptance procedures.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence across the project team.
The Successful Applicant The Quality Control Manager - Federal Construction should have:
- 5+ years of quality control experience within federal construction
- Current USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) Certification for Contractors.
- Experience managing Contractor Quality Control (CQC) programs on projects valued at $10M+ preferred.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and contract documents.
- Experience coordinating inspections, testing programs, and quality documentation processes.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software platforms.
- Ability to work collaboratively with owners, government representatives, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Base compensation up to $130k (depending on previous experience)
