The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program is a development-focused role designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position. It is a 16‑week, self‑paced, collaborative training that includes virtual and hands‑on learning experiences. Support Team District Leader Human Resources Business Partner Training Store Manager Store Manager coach Key Responsibilities Communicate verbally and in writing to support and lead your team. Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service. Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth. Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. Expectations During SMIT Actively engage with your leader in Key Learning Experiences to support your promotion path during the program. Support your store as a management team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies. Engage colleagues in the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. Be willing to accept promotion roles with the market that you work in. Qualifications High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred. Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor. Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market. Ability to work a variable schedule based on business needs. Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager role at any location in the designated market. Pay Range Base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary: $18.50 - $23.88. Actual offer will depend on experience, education, geography and other factors.
