The Ophthalmology Group at MSK is looking for an Ophthalmic Technician to join our team! In this role, you'll play an important part in supporting high-quality ophthalmic care and creating a positive experience for our patients.

Role Overview:

• Perform specific technical ophthalmologic diagnostic procedures and tests under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or the attending ophthalmologist. Tests include visual acuity, fundus photography, OCT scans, visual field testing, slit lamp photography, ultrasound and UBM scans
• Carry out additional activities necessary to provide for the personal needs, comfort and safety of patients and their families
• Maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment and orient patients and families to the clinical area

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 full year of recent experience supporting ophthalmic procedures
• COA (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant) preferred
• Excellent communication and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Additional Information:

• Location: 160 East 53rd Street, New York, NY
• Shift: 8-hour flex shift 8am - 4pm, 9am - 5pm; Monday through Friday

Pay Range: $29.03 - $44.92 FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
