Implementation to meet the IEP goals; program planning and management.

Provide training to the appropriate persons to carry over therapy goals in the school setting.

Timely completion of required evaluations and written reports.

Equipment/room maintenance.

Program services include, but are not limited to: self help, functional mobility, environmental adaptation/adaptive equipment, positioning, motor functions, sensory processing, prevocation/vocational skills.

Function as a team member for MET's, IEPT's and maintain contact with school, family, physicians, and agencies.

Screening, evaluation and reassessment to develop IEP.

Schedule students for evaluations and services.

Assign and supervise caseload and responsibilities of the COTA.

Acts as a resource for determining assistive technology needs/accommodations of students when appropriate.

Serves as a resource to school/staff/families to provide suggestions for accommodations and modifications to enhance independence in the school environment.

Other duties may be assigned.

Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy

Appropriate certification from Michigan LARA

Certification by National Registration Exam

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from the community, regulatory agencies or staff members.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and ledgers.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Position requires sustained periods of sitting and working on computer and office equipment.

Position requires standing and walking throughout buildings.

Position involves frequent lifting up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting up to 40 pounds.

Position involves listening, speaking clearly and visual acuity.

Position involves frequent repetitive action on a keyboard.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to loud depending upon the activity in a particular part of the day.
