Your Impact
Reporting to the Manager, Reactor Vessel and Containment Vessel Design & Analysis, you will contribute to fatigue aging management initiatives. This hybrid position is based at Westinghouse Headquarters in Cranberry, PA (Greater Pittsburgh Area) with 2 in-office days per week.
How You’ll Contribute
- Execute and document ASME Section III and Section XI analyses with a collaborative engineering team.
- Create ASME design specifications and design reports; prepare design and assembly drawings to transition designs into production.
- Interface with suppliers during manufacturing and assembly to uphold design intent and quality.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to support design, qualification, fabrication, and installation of nuclear components.
- Present technical conclusions and project updates to peer audiences.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong technical writing for calculation notes and topical report authorship/verification.
- Ability to interpret technical reports and collaborate effectively on technical questions.
- Working toward a professional engineering license.
- At least 1 year of experience with Ansys Workbench / APDL, MATLAB, and Mathcad.
Compensation & Rewards
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,400 to $73,000 per year.
