Job Summary:
A Clinical Nurse position is available in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, within a Progressive Care Unit. The role involves providing competent clinical nursing care according to professional standards in a hospital setting. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The position may involve charge responsibilities or precepting nearly every shift, with a schedule of nights, 12-hour shifts, and a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Location: Chapel Hill, North Carolina
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) from an accredited school of Nursing; Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA or ARC); ACLS, NIHSS, CHARGE, and Precepting certifications; One (1) year of nursing experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing
• Additional Information: The role requires skills in care planning, patient care, nursing process, patient education, patient assessment, healthcare standards compliance, care prioritization, cultural competence, safety promotion, discharge planning, professional growth, performance improvement, cost-effective care, communication systems, task prioritization, research application, interdisciplinary collaboration, and point of care testing.
• Responsibilities include assessing complex patient situations, developing and updating care plans in collaboration with patients and families, prioritizing tasks for patients with complex problems, participating in performance improvement activities, and supporting a safe hospital environment.
