Quality Engineer

The duties of this job are to maintain & continuously improve these metrics where possible. The duties of the quality manager are to oversee quality operations, ensure excellent quality control of product and maintain and uphold the quality management system. Responsibilities of the position: Performing quality inspection, applying quality inspection techniques, and identifying nonconforming hardware. Measure parts using most applicable method and ensure other inspectors are up to date on best measurement practices. Perform first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections. Perform quality planning along with creation of bubble prints and required QC documentation to customer specifications. Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure the quality of our products meets customer and industry standards. Develop CMM strategies to improve quality lab throughput. Record and log measurements for parts on AS9102 Form. Oversee and coordinate quality process improvements and implementations. Act as the main technical point of contact in the quality lab for other inspectors as well as a liaison between the quality department & shop operations. Offer solutions to advance the progress and modernization of the quality department. Safely working within a manufacturing environment. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion. Authorities: Instruct all levels of Operators, Setup and Programmers as needed to assure product quality as well as Quality Inspector Levels 1 & 2. Required Education: High school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: 3-5 years minimum. Compensation for the position: MBK Machine would like to start the quality engineer position at a compensation rate of $30-41/hr (depending on technical knowledge, capability and experience) with a pay evaluation after 60 days of employment. This would be a full-time position Monday-Friday.
