Interventional Radiology Tech

Our client, a leading health system in Colorado Springs, is seeking an Interventional Radiology Tech to provide quality patient care within the medical imaging department, performing high-quality images and exams, while serving as a role model and clinical resource to ensure current standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Performs imaging procedures, providing safety for self, patients, and all other individuals.
• Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to "as low as reasonably achievable" (ALARA).
• Produces quality images in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
• Prepares patient for exam.
• Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.
• Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports/documents unusual occurrences and records patient's condition. Communicates in writing and verbally with all physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff in facilitating the continuum of care.

Requirements

• Required**
• High School Diploma or GED
• Registered Radiology Technologist R.T. (R) (ARRT)
• Registered Radiology Technologist Vascular-Interventional Radiology R.T. (R)(VI)(ARRT) or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology R.T. (R)(CV)(ARRT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
• Colorado Surgical Assistant or Surgical Tech Registry (through the Department of Regulatory Agencies) upon hire unless performing Surgical Assistant duties within the scope of another active Colorado license, certification, or registration (required for Colorado employed staff only).
• Preferred**
• Associate's Degree
• One (1) year imaging experience
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association

Schedule

• PRN- five shifts per six week scheduling period. On call required. 30 minute callback radius applies.

Compensation

• $34.40 - $57.95/hour
