Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must be able to work with adult, pediatric, and NICU patients.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Level II NICU experience preferred; comfortable going to deliveries and initiating CPAP preferred.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - The facility may make one-off exceptions if previously employed at the facility, but exceptions must be approved by St. Luke’s Health System.

Unit Details: - Covers ER and inpatient respiratory care on all floors. - Patient population includes Level IIB NICU, MICU, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients; PACU treatments and overnight oximetry. - Duties include ABGs (radial or brachial), all respiratory treatments, and managing respiratory equipment. - RTs assist with intubations only. - Uses Epic, Drager V500, Hamilton, ReVel, V60s, Vapotherm, and EPOC. - Intensivists, hospitalists, and anesthesia are in house 24/7; eICU support at night.

Shift & Scheduling: - Self-scheduling; travelers are last to sign up and must stay flexible to fill gaps in permanent staff. - May be asked to trade with staff and/or rotate between shifts. - Every other weekend; nights are Friday and Saturday. - May be asked to participate in the holiday rotation. - Optional call/standby; text list available for picking up shifts. Call response time is 30 mins.

Floating Requirements: - First to float. - Must be comfortable floating between ICU, MICU, MS-Tele, ER, and other specialties. - Can float throughout the hospital and may be asked to float to sister facilities in Nampa (14 miles west) and Boise (10 miles east), including mid-shift, with a minimum of 60 mins heads-up prior to the shift.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway. Blood Pressure, Lab work and Emotional Support)
