Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Massachusetts Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from AHA or ARC prior to start.
• Experience working in Home Health settings preferred.
• Documentation of ability to evaluate adult and pediatric patients, develop measurable treatment goals, and provide objective documentation of patient progress.
• Ability to perform diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint and functional ability tests and implement appropriate treatment modalities.
• Comfort providing patient and family education, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and participating in discharge planning.
• Ability to provide supervision and guidance to Physical Therapist Assistants, Aides, and students as required by the facility.
• Current, verifiable clinical experience delivering patient-centered care in community or home settings is preferred.

• Schedule: 5x8 (standard 40 hours per week).

Additional Job Information

Position purpose includes evaluating new patients, establishing objective measurable treatment goals, administering diagnostic and functional tests, implementing and modifying treatment plans, documenting patient care, educating patients and families, and communicating with interdisciplinary team members. The clinician will participate in quality initiatives, maintain daily activity records, and may assist in training new staff. Consistent service excellence to patients, families, and colleagues is required.
