Lecturer

Lecturer, Political Science Department Prothro-Yeager College of Humanities & Social Sciences, Midwestern State University Starting Date: Fall 2026 Responsibilities Teach 12 credit hours (4 courses) of American National Government and Texas Government each semester. Teach in‑person and online courses. Communicate with and meet with students. Assist with departmental needs. Maintain a regular presence on campus. Requirements Required Qualifications: MA in Political Science. Demonstrated teaching effectiveness. Preferred Qualifications: PhD (ABD accepted) in Political Science. Commitment to undergraduate education. Experience teaching courses in American National Government and/or Texas Government. Experience teaching in‑person courses. Experience teaching online courses. Standard requirements: ability to maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community; adherence to the University’s core values: People‑Centered, Community, Integrity, Visionary, and Connections; personal cell phone usage may be required; and regular reliable attendance is necessary.
