Great things are happening at The Marzetti Company Allen facility and as we continue to grow, we are seeking team members who will grow with us on our journey towards world class operational excellence. The Training Coordinator is responsible for supporting our Training initiatives and programs. The Training Coordinator helps our HR Department serve Production, QA, CIP develop, review, and coordinate our Training documentation including Standard Operating Procedures, Job Aids, Skills Matrices, and more.

Responsibilities ? What You'll Do

• Works respectfully with all team members to ensure the Safety, Quality, production and support of our products and goals daily.

• Actively participates in Marzetti Operational Excellence, special projects or tasks, and modification programs as needed with prior approval.
• Actively participate in Kaizen events and work closely with team members and management on Tier I and Tier II activities.
• Actively participates in department/shift/team meetings and is involved with improvement/resolutions & follow-up.

MOE / Training Drive the Training in an effective manner.

• Become Train the Trainer (T3) certified as a Technical/Skilled Trainer.
• Lead the training on your designated line for plant operations.
• Understand the losses and link losses to Pillar systems and tools.
• Facilitate step self-assessment and communicate with sponsors when to trigger formal step assessment.
• Train team members on MOE systems and tools in a practical way.
• Help develop technical training and Job Aids.
• Lead the team in the TPM journey.
• Manage self and team competency development with timing aligned to step change goals.
• Support system health checks for core systems linked with area results.
• Work closely with all Supervisors to align expectations and needs.
• Connect with Sponsors and discuss progress made, upcoming milestones, data summaries (One-Page Reports), roadblocks, and escalations.
• Assist project teams and projects as needed and / or requested.
• Clearly communicate activities with area Supervisors and MOE team to maintain alignment on strategy and availability of resources.
• Good people skills, ability to develop professional relationships with employees at all levels.

• Maintains the highest standard of Safety for all functions on an ongoing basis and ensures compliance for self and others to OSHA standards.
• Performs daily inspection of all PPE required including but not limited to SLIP-RESISTANT/STEEL-TOED SHOES, safety glasses, gloves, shields and aprons to ensure good overall condition of items that provide optimal personal safety & protection while working in the facility.
• Successfully acquires and maintains Lock Out-Tag Out Certification for machine and safely performs all functions in accordance to OHSA and company requirements and standards.
• Performs daily inspection of power equipment with proper documentation.
• As a member of the T. Marzetti Company, completes his/her Behavior Based Safety Observations (BBSO), corrects issues when identified, and participates in problem solving.

• As a member of the T. Marzetti Company, completes his/her Behavior Based Quality observations (BBQs), corrects issues when identified and participates in problem solving.
• Ensures compliance with quality, food safety / HACCP, FSMA, Food Defense, 5S, OSHA and other support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer, and government standards.
• Communicate any concerns related to product safety, integrity, quality, and legality to management or to confidential hotline if the need for anonymity is necessary.

• Practices & promotes integrity, respect, accountability, continuous improvement and positive interactions with all Team Members and visitors.
• Adheres to company policies, procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, Code of Safe Practices, Standard Operating Procedures and Lockout/Tagout Procedures.
• Regular Attendance is required in accordance with Company attendance policy and procedures.
• Performs other duties / responsibilities as assigned by Management.
• Complete initial/annual training to ensure the individual is properly qualified (QI) to perform all required job tasks as outlined in training programs/records.

Trainer Specific Functions:

• Follows all job aids and training materials when training new employees.
• Ensures completion of all training documentation.
• Coordinates with other shifts & departments on all aspects of safety, quality, receiving, processing, packaging, shipping, sanitation, and maintenance.
• Report on any issues to Management immediately.
• Write SOPs for best practice

Qualifications ? What You'll Bring

• Prior training experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally & written to and work well with Team Members, Management, Customers & Vendors.
• Basic mechanical aptitude, working knowledge of manufacturing equipment operation and good math skills are required.
• Ability to read & interpret written & verbal direction while working in a safe, effective & productive manner within a fast-paced environment.
• Regular on time attendance is required in accordance with Company attendance policy and procedures.
• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required.
