Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse – Neuroscience ICU (NSICU)

Location

Asheville, North Carolina

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Neuroscience ICU at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for neurology patients post-thrombectomy and post-TPA administration
• Manage post-neurosurgery patients and monitor neurological status
• Perform and assist with unit-level procedures including CRRT, bedside EVD management, and A-line monitoring
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records
• Float to other ICUs or step-down units as needed per unit floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Proficiency with Cerner documentation system and Baxter infusion pumps

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience caring for neurology ICU patients, including stroke and neurosurgical populations
• Experience with CRRT, external ventricular drains (EVDs), and arterial line monitoring
• Ability to self-schedule while meeting unit weekend shift requirements (6 weekend shifts per scheduling period)
