Associate Accountant

Our client is looking for entry-level Accountant’s to support corporate accounting functions in Houston, TX. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates looking to start their accounting careers in a dynamic, global energy company. Successful candidates will start on a contract basis with the goal of converting to full-time employment within 3-6 months, based on performance and business need. As a part of the Elevate program, you will also receive ongoing technical training and professional development support to accelerate your ramp-up and long-term growth within the organization! Key Responsibilities: Support daily accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and transactional processing Assist in month-end and quarter-end close processes – must be available for extended hours during this time Contribute to internal and external reporting requirements, including S4 support where applicable Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies Work collaboratively across accounting teams and with supervisors to meet deadlines Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required (Accounting strongly preferred) CPA eligible preferred not required (e.g., 150 credit hours, 5th year, or MBA candidates) Strong academic record Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Strong communication and organizational abilities Proficiency in Excel and basic financial systems; knowledge of SAP/S4 is a plus
