Medical Assistant

Premier Aesthetic Dermatology is a boutique, physician-led aesthetic dermatology and medical spa practice in San Carlos offering medical dermatology, cosmetic injectables, advanced laser treatments, skin rejuvenation, wellness, and aesthetic services. About the Role We are seeking an experienced, polished, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an MA who enjoys working in a sophisticated private practice environment and is interested in dermatology, cosmetic medicine, and aesthetic procedures. Responsibilities Room and prepare patients for medical and cosmetic appointments Obtain medical histories, medications, allergies, and vital signs Assist physicians and providers with medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment Assist with Botox, fillers, lasers, skin procedures, biopsies, and other treatments Provide patients with pre- and post-procedure instructions Take and document clinical and aesthetic photographs Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR Assist with inventory management and stocking of medical and aesthetic supplies Prepare instruments and treatment areas according to office protocols Assist with patient flow and provider efficiency Provide an exceptional, warm, and professional patient experience Support front-office operations when needed Participate in staff meetings, training, and continuing education Qualifications Medical Assistant certification preferred* Previous clinical experience required* Dermatology or aesthetic experience preferred CPR/BLS certification preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong computer and EMR skills Required Skills Experienced in medical assisting, dermatology, plastic surgery, or aesthetics Professional, polished, dependable, and personable Comfortable working with physicians and high-expectation patients Highly organized and detail-oriented Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment A strong communicator and team player Comfortable learning new technology and EMR systems Interested in aesthetics, skincare, lasers, and cosmetic medicine Able to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times Dermatology, cosmetic, laser, or Modernizing Medicine/EMA experience is a strong plus.
