Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Sonographer with OB/GYN certification and at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment in Arizona.

Details

• Acute care hospital ultrasound department with 3 scanner rooms
• Performs all general ultrasound exams, paracentesis/thoracentesis biopsies, and vascular exams
• Average of 8–16 scans/studies per day
• Uses Philips EPIQ ultrasound equipment and Cerner EMR
• Evening shift schedule: Sunday 4:00 PM–midnight, Monday/Tuesday 2:00 PM–midnight, Wednesday 4:00 PM–midnight (36 hours/week)
• Mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts
• Call requirement of one day per week and one weekend per month
• Holiday rotation required
• May be required to float to other areas on a non-standard basis
• Radiologist is in-house

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of sonography experience
• Active BLS certification required
• RDMS certification required
• RDMS-OB/GYN certification required
• RVT (Vascular Technology) certification preferred
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Experience with vascular exams preferred
• Active state license required if applicable — pending licenses will not be accepted
• A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates, as determined by the address on their driver's license
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates placed PRN through outside firms will be considered
• Scrubs are not provided by the facility
• Department-specific orientation is provided (12 hours)
