Estimator – Commercial Concrete Construction

Southwest Michigan

A long-established commercial and industrial concrete contractor in Southwest Michigan is seeking an Estimator to join its growing team. This is an opportunity to join a respected contractor that has built its reputation on high-quality concrete construction while positioning yourself for long-term growth within the estimating department.

What You'll Do

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial and industrial concrete projects.
• Review plans, specifications and bid documents.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Develop competitive bids and proposals.
• Work closely with project management and field operations during preconstruction and project turnover.
• Support project management as needed throughout the life of the project.

• Hospitals and healthcare facilities
• Manufacturing and industrial facilities
• Municipal buildings
• Commercial developments

Typical project sizes range from $250,000 to $2 million .

What We're Looking For

• Commercial concrete estimating experience preferred.
• Concrete Project Managers with estimating experience are encouraged to apply.
• Experienced concrete Superintendents or Foremen looking to transition into estimating will also be considered.
• Strong understanding of concrete construction methods, materials, sequencing and cost estimating.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Compensation & Benefits

• $100,000–$165,000 base salary (depending on experience)

Location

This position is based near Kalamazoo, Michigan and is an in-office role supporting projects throughout Southwest Michigan.
