Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy - Los Alamos, New Mexico

A retail pharmacy opportunity is available in Los Alamos, NM, offering a dynamic environment where you will play a key role in supporting pharmacy operations and delivering excellent patient care. This contract role provides hands-on experience in a busy setting, averaging 600 prescriptions daily, with flexible start times and a collaborative team atmosphere.


Location: Los Alamos, NM

Schedule:

• Day shift with start times at 8:30 AM or 9:30 AM (flexible)
• Pharmacy hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM (rotating weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
• Deliver outstanding customer service and patient counseling
• Verify USP 800 non-sterile compounded prescriptions (verification only; no compounding required)
• Manage workload efficiently in a fast-paced pharmacy environment

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active, clear New Mexico Pharmacist License required
• Experience with non-sterile compounding preferred but not mandatory
• Background in a high-volume retail pharmacy environment is beneficial
• Open to new graduates eager to grow and develop professionally
