CNC Machinist

RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow manufacturing methods to perform normal job tasks in a safe manner under the direction of the supervisor, group leader or experienced associates in the area. Perform general clean up to keep work area clean and organized. Set up, adjust and operate mechanical equipment up to 3 axes CNC equipment as qualified. Verify CNC program integrity before operating the equipment. Measure and install tools into equipment Perform self-inspection for the parts resulted from the machining operation. Work from blueprints and process control documents. Responsible for quality of parts produced. Responsible for documentation and identification generated or related to production of the job. Work within close tolerances. Work in a safe manner. Follows Company's Compliance requirements. Maintains and improves the quality management system. Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS: Regardless of other duties, the CNC Machinist has a responsibility to follow LUFKIN production, safety, and quality procedures.

REQUIREMENTS: Education and Training: High school or as deemed sufficient by management Technical Requirements: basic computer skills; ability to operate mechanical equipment up to 3 axes CNC equipment; ability to use measurement instruments; ability to read drawings and perform basic mathematical calculations; ability to read and interpret routine instructions. Experience: At least 2 years work experience in the area, or as deemed sufficient by management
