Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install and move complex equipment.
• Diagnose complex equipment failures.
• Dismantle, repair and reassemble complex equipment.
• Perform work in the mechanics skill area such as fabrication, assembly, welding, cutting and pipe fitting.
• Occasionally performs work in other trades.
• Directs work of helpers as required.
• Use typical mechanics tools and inspection gages.
• Work from drawings, sketches or verbal instructions.
• Use shop math.
• Clean debris and lubricants from parts, work areas and equipment.
• Operate production equipment to check work as needed.
• Perform service and preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Perform other maintenance as needed.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Know location of all shop equipment.
• Able to start, stop and operate all shop equipment.
• Use safety equipment as needed.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Ability to read and speak the English language.

Physical demands:

• Ability to work on ladders and scaffolds.
• Ability to work in pits and confined spaces.
• Must be able to manually lift 75 pounds intermittently.

Work environment:

• The position is in a manufacturing environment and involves the ability to sit, stand, walk and lift for long periods of time throughout the day.
