This involves using machines such as lathes, grinders, and milling machines to shape metal parts accurately.Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure tools are made to precise dimensions, often within a few thousandths of an inch.Quality Control: Inspect finished tools and dies for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Conduct test runs to verify functionality.Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and production teams to optimize tool design and manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in production.Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform regular maintenance on tools and machinery, troubleshoot issues, and recommend repairs or modifications as necessary.Required Skills and QualificationsTechnical Proficiency: Strong understanding of machining processes and the ability to operate various manufacturing equipment.
