About the Role

Alisha Clayton Insurance Agency Inc. is looking for a motivated, fully licensed insurance professional who is ready for a change, wants to grow, and isn't afraid to work for results.

As a Licensed Insurance Sales & Agent Assistant , you'll work directly with the Agent to serve customers, develop new business, manage sales opportunities, and help keep the agency organized and moving forward.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both sales and customer service and wants more responsibility than simply answering phones or completing assigned tasks.

I'm looking for someone who can eventually become a trusted right hand within the agency : someone who takes ownership, follows through, recognizes opportunities, solves problems, and understands that excellent service and strong production go hand in hand.

We are serving, not just selling.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with auto, home, renters, life, health, and other available insurance products within your licensing and authority

• Generate, work, and follow up on new sales leads and existing opportunities

• Prepare quotes and confidently follow up with prospects

• Conduct needs-based conversations to help customers understand appropriate coverage options

• Ask for the business and help turn qualified opportunities into issued policies

• Identify appropriate cross-selling opportunities within existing households

• Assist the Agent with daily sales, service, administrative, and operational priorities

• Follow up on pending applications, documents, policy changes, and customer requests

• Maintain accurate and thorough customer records and documentation

• Keep the agency's sales and follow-up pipeline organized

• Provide professional and responsive customer service by phone, email, and text

• Resolve routine customer questions and recognize when an issue requires the Agent's involvement

• Help support agency retention, production, and growth goals

• Learn and effectively use applicable State Farm systems, technology, and workflows

Requirements

Applicants MUST already hold BOTH of the following active Florida insurance licenses:

• Florida 2-20 General Lines License
  
  
• Florida 2-15 Life, Health & Variable Annuity License
  
  

Both licenses are required to be considered for an interview.

Additional qualifications:

• Previous insurance sales, customer service, or related sales experience preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Comfortable speaking with customers and asking for the business

• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work without constant supervision

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

• Able to work with both speed and accuracy
  
  
• Comfortable being coached and held accountable for results

• Strong follow-through and task-management skills

• Comfortable learning and using technology

• Able to prioritize multiple customer and sales opportunities

• Professional, dependable, punctual, and customer-focused

• Willing to take ownership of mistakes, learn from them, and continuously improve

Schedule

Full-time is preferred.

However, I may consider a part-time schedule for an exceptional candidate who demonstrates the ability to produce high-quality work efficiently and consistently.

The final schedule will be discussed during the interview process.

Compensation

Compensation and any applicable incentive opportunities will be discussed during the interview.

Compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, schedule, responsibilities, and overall fit for the position.
