Regional Underwriting Team Lead - Insurance - Base Salary to 165k/year - Spokane, WA
Our client, an established property and casualty insurance organization, has an immediate need for a Regional Underwriting Team Lead in Spokane, WA. This role combines hands-on commercial lines underwriting with direct leadership of a team of small to middle market production underwriters. The Team Lead will oversee underwriting quality, production activity, account management, and referral authority while maintaining individual underwriting responsibilities for larger and more complex commercial accounts.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of 4 small to middle market commercial lines production underwriters
Oversee team production efforts, underwriting quality, account management, and referral activity
Provide underwriting leadership, guidance, and referral authority for commercial P&C accounts
Maintain individual production underwriting responsibilities for large and complex commercial accounts
Evaluate commercial risks and make underwriting decisions within established authority
Support account management activities and ongoing commercial insurance portfolio performance
Work directly with top agents and agency partners to support commercial lines business and account needs
Qualifications:
7+ years of commercial lines underwriting experience
2+ years of leadership experience
Commercial property and casualty insurance underwriting experience
Experience underwriting small to middle market commercial accounts
Experience with production underwriting, underwriting quality, account management, and/or referral authority
Experience underwriting complex commercial accounts
Compensation:
Base salary in the 100k - 165k/year range plus profit sharing, bonus & salary increases.

Hybrid role. M-W in office, Thursday & Friday remote.
You will receive a laptop, 2 monitors, docking station, phone, keyboard, headset etc. for remote work.
