Responsibilities: Lead and manage full-cycle month-end close activities with a high degree of accuracy and ownership Prepare and review complex journal entries and account reconciliations across assigned areas Oversee and develop a small team including a Staff Accountant and a Senior Accountant Deliver balance sheet and income statement analytics with a focus on a key business unit Support tie-outs and financial reporting in a public company reporting environment Identify and drive process improvements across close workflows and accounting operations Contribute to AI and automation initiatives aimed at modernizing the month-end close cycle Collaborate cross-functionally with business unit leaders and finance stakeholders on reporting and analysis Maintain technical accounting expertise and apply it to complex or non-routine transactions Ensure all work product meets the quality and documentation standards expected by senior leadership Support special projects and stretch assignments as the team continues to evolve and expand its capabilities Partner with leadership on priority initiatives and continuous improvement efforts Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred Big 4 experience very strongly preferred 8+ years of progressive experience; a blend of public accounting and mid-market industry experience ideal Supervisory experience required Strong technical accounting skills with full-cycle close experience in a corporate environment Public company or SEC reporting exposure a meaningful plus Manufacturing industry experience a plus Large ERP proficiency required Advanced Excel skills: comfort with financial reporting tools valued Process improvement mindset — a natural problem solver who challenges the status quo constructively Passion for or experience with AI, automation, or close modernization initiatives a plus Why You’ll Love Working Here: Work alongside a high-caliber team led by executives who are invested in developing top talent Real stretch opportunities available — "there is no limitation on what they can do" for the right, eager professional Be part of an active AI and automation initiative reshaping how the close process operates Reasonable hours with a get-it-done culture! #J-18808-Ljbffr Taylor White
