Billing Assistant - On-Site

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Assistant to join our team. MUST have experience and knowledge of health insurance, medical billing, collections, coding and terminology. Responsibilities Review and verify accuracy of billing data. Follow up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle timeframe. Check insurance payments for accuracy and compliance with contract discount. Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary. Review accounts for insurance of patient follow-up. Research and appeal denied claims. Answer patient or insurance inquiries. Qualifications Knowledge of health insurance, medical billing, collections, coding and terminology. Familiarity with ICD-10 codes. Experience with medical billing systems. Compensation & Schedule Salary: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour. Expected hours: 40 per week. Location: In person at the office. Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift. No weekends. Holidays.
