Summary:Great Escape maintains the highest regard for the safety and well-being of every guest and team member. As a security professional for the Great Escape, you will make every effort to provide a fun and safe environment for all. You'll be responsible for securing the resort premises by patrolling high visibility areas, monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings and access points, and respond to incidents. This opportunity will allow you to gain valuable knowledge, experience, confidence, and customer service to advance your professional career.What You Will Be DoingInteract with guests providing directions and assistanceProtect employees, guests, and company propertyEnforce resort policies and proceduresControl resort access, checking vehicle permits and scanning ID badges for team members, vendors, and contractorsPatrol and inspect assigned areas of the resortKeep unauthorized personnel out of restricted areasGreet and screen guests utilizing metal detection and other screening toolsRapidly respond to active alarms, medical calls, and other emergency situationsMonitor all areas for safety hazards, including fire, theft, and vandalismMaintain ride queue lines, sending line jumpers to the back to ensure an efficient boarding processWrite detailed reports of damage, maintain incident logs, and complete security records using computer-aided records management systemEscort guests and team members as needed for assistance and protectionWork closely with Public Safety partners and may be called upon to perform roles within those areas.Work alongside law enforcement and other emergency service providers.How You Will Do ItAbility to work in an environment as fast-paced as our coasters Efficiently learn and operate various computer programs on PC and/or tablets Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to safetyMaintain confidentiality and integrityStrong attention to detailCautious and reliableRemain calm in emergency situationsWhat You Will NeedMust be 18 years of age or olderPossess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a New York State Security Guard LicenseAble to lift, carry, and balance heavy loadsPhysical qualifications to stand and walk for extended periods of time; ability to stoop, bend, and reach throughout your shiftPhysical agilityAbility to learn basic personal, protection, tactical skillsComputer proficiency in Microsoft Office word, excel and OutlookExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidaysSuccessfully complete background pre-screeningWhy work with us?Pay Rate: $17.00Paid trainingAdvancement opportunitiesOvertime pay eligible after 40 hoursYear-round job opportunitiesExclusive employee parties and events for you and your family
