CNC Lathe Operator/Programmer

Responsibilities:The position requires monitoring, set-up, and operating CNC turning machines to cut steel for the round tool cutting industry. Operators must be capable of programming and setting up the machines without assistance.Daily Functions:Download programs and perform set-ups per print on existing toolsWrite machine programs for new tools using Fanuc controlKeep multiple machines running during work shift unassistedPerform basic machine troubleshooting and preventative maintenance and machine cleaningUpon completion, perform quality part checks to printMake normal machine program adjustmentsChange and adjust tooling as requiredAchieve standard daily production ratesOther duties as assignedSkills and Requirements:5-10 years of machine experience preferred (Fanuc control)Able to read and understand blue printsAble to use measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)Understand machining properties of different materialsEffective communication skillsProlonged standing and bendingAble to lift up to 50 lbs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
