The COTA works collaboratively to implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and promote independence in daily activities. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the occupational therapist in implementing treatment plans and interventions.
- Provide direct care to patients, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery goals.
- Monitor and document patient progress throughout treatment.
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to enhance daily living skills.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients during therapy sessions.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a COTA is required.
- Current Texas COTA license or compact license is required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
