Business System AnalystWork Location: Irvine, CA or Fountain Valley, CA (Remote)Duration: 6 months plusStart date: ImmediateDescription:Partner with the various internal and external teams to align data governance objectives with business goals.Administer day to day functions of governing restricted and sensitive data reports and sets for US audiences based on compliance and approvals.Keep a control on the all in and out interfaces and closely monitor the data access controls.Implement a framework to actively govern data in relevant data domains, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organizational processes, people practices, governance metrics, and data architecture.Facilitate roles and responsibilities and collaboration mechanisms among stakeholders to ensure clear ownership of data assets.Understand the technical commitments and ETL functions through querying and transformational logic Facilitate governance strategies, CCPA compliance around sensitive and restricted data sets for adherence to US policies.Serve as a liaison between business functions and various parts of the analytics organization to ensure data needs are clearly defined and evaluated against core governance principles, such as security, privacy and data quality Partner with data stewards to identify, capture, and democratize business-critical metadata.Drive the development and implementation of data quality and data protection standards across relevant data domains.Define metrics to measure the quality of data and overall effectiveness of the data governance program over time Partner with the data engineering and data science teams to experiment with the use of modern tools to implement data quality and governance at scale in a data lake environment.
