RN MedSurg TelemetryBaylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX is seeking a full time Registered Nurse to join our amazing Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit (STC-5). Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. Schedule: Full Time – Days and Nights available - 36 hours per week.Unit Summary: This 36-bed telemetry monitored nursing unit provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients ranging in age from Adults to Geriatrics. The conditions that are within the scope of service for STC-5 include but are not limited to the following:Wide variety of Medical Diagnosis, most patients we see come from the ICU, especially the MICUPatients requiring medication regimensPatients with impaired respiratory statusPatients requiring airborne, contact and/or droplet precautionsPatients requiring nutritional supportPatients requiring wound and skin careDiagnostic procedures including thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath insertion, pacemaker and collection of specimensPatients requiring N/G suctionPatients requiring cardiac monitoringPatients with GI abnormalitiesSevere SepsisBi-Pap machines (external vent)CHFMulti-Organ Failure pointsBenefits: Our competitive benefits package includes the following:Immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits401(k) savings plan with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5%Tuition ReimbursementPTO accrual beginning Day 1Note: Benefits may vary based upon position type and/or level.
